Most persons enter into contracts more frequently than they may realise. In almost all dealings, any time you or your company agree to take some action or make a payment in exchange for anything of value, a legal contract is created. For example, most bills of sale, purchase orders, employment agreements and other common business transactions are legally enforceable contracts. Though standard contracts are still common practice, their usage is declining and custom made contracts and agreements are gaining ground particulary. In many cases general conditions are used in addition to these arrangements, the so-called ‘small print’. Correct general conditions can prevent future problems. It is therefore essential that these conditions are drawn up and applied with extreme care and attention.
