Our office will do its utmost to provide you with the best service. It may occur, however, that you are dissatisfied with a certain aspect of our services. This information page explains you how to proceed.
When you are dissatisfied with the quality of our services or the declaration, we urge you to present your complaints to our office in written format for the attention of Mr. J. Singh. In case of complaints regarding Mr. J. Singh, you may address Mrs. A. Khan.
We will try to resolve the issue as soon as possible in close consultation with you. The solution will always be confirmed to you in written format.
You can consult our internal complaint regulations in our office. In case the consultation does not lead to satisfactory results in your opinion, you can present the dispute before the Conciliation Board of the Legal Profession. This can only occur after you have presented your complaints to our office in written format. This course of action can also be taken in case our office has not reacted to your.
Our office partakes in the Complaint and Dispute Regulation of the Legal Profession. This regulation was introduced by the Dutch Order of Lawyers on June 1st, 1999. The Foundation Dispute Committees for Consumer Affairs and for Profession and Business in ‘S Gravenhage execute the regulation.
You may present the complaint to the Conciliation Board of the Legal Profession (Surinamestraat 24, 2585 GJ The Hague, the Netherlands) to up to 12 months after the date of the written reaction of our office. The Conciliation Board of the Legal Profession passes judgment by means of an arbitral decision. The Conciliation Board of the Legal Profession is authorized to judge complaints regarding the quality of serviced of the lawyer and the amount of expenses. You may also feel entitled to compensation. The Conciliation Board of the Legal Profession is also authorized to judge claims to up to € 10,000. Higher claims can also be presented to the Conciliation Board of the Legal Profession if you limit the amount of the claim to € 10,000 and explicitly renounce the remaining amount. Our office may also present unpaid expenses for collection to the Conciliation Board of the Legal Profession.
The Conciliation Board of the Legal Profession deals with the case according to the Regulations of the Conciliation Board of the Legal Profession valid the moment the complaint is filed at the Conciliation Board of the Legal Profession. No further appeal is possible following the verdict of the Conciliation Board of the Legal Profession.
